("Abbisko Therapeutics" hereafter, HKEX code: 02256.HK) today announced the appointment of Dr. Praveen Kudithipudi as a Business Development (BD) advisor. With over 20 years of extensive experience in the global biopharmaceutical industry, Dr. Praveen Kudithipudi’s appointment is expected to inject strong momentum in Abbisko Therapeutics’ global BD innovative strategy.

Dr. Kudithipudi brings more than two decades of experience in the biopharmaceutical sector, gaining deep expertise in business development, venture capital, incubation, competitive intelligence, portfolio management, investment banking and consulting with robust pipeline management and strategic planning skills. Over the past 10 years, he has led or participated in projects with a total disclosed value exceeding USD 3 billion, spanning multiple stages from early innovation to commercial collaboration. Currently, Dr. Kudithipudi serves as Chief Business Development Officer at BullFrog AI, and he has previously held senior roles at internationally renowned companies and institutions including Deep Genomics, Otsuka Pharma, and WestPark Capital.

In business development, Dr. Kudithipudi has successfully driven numerous high-value collaborations. Notably, he is a member of the BD team that licensed multiple central nervous system (CNS) products between Otsuka Pharma and Sumitomo Pharma, valued at USD 890 million. He introduced an IL-11 inhibitor biotech to a major Pharmaceutical company which later acquired the platform for payments that could reach up to USD 1 billion per product. Recently he successfully negotiated a collaboration agreement with Sygnature Discovery. These achievements highlight his outstanding global BD capability and strategic vision.

On the investment front, Dr. Kudithipudi has participated in more than 50 projects representing nearly USD 900 million in total funding. Three of these portfolio companies have successfully completed initial public offerings (IPOs), demonstrating his expertise in capital operations and industry enablement.
